GULF LANDSCAPING ATTRACTS GLOBAL OUTDOOR DESIGN & LANDSCAPING ARCHITECTURE FIRMS

Products for erosion control, irrigation, landscape maintenance, water features, fertilizers, tips and facts on the latest landscaping trends to be displayed in capital

Over 50 companies involved in outdoor design and landscaping architecture industries from Hong Kong, South Africa, the UK, India, Italy, the USA, Spain, Malaysia, Thailand and the UAE will be vying for business at the forthcoming Gulf Landscaping exhibition scheduled to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 17th to 18th November 2008.

“The regional landscaping business is blooming and international companies want a piece of the $16.34 billion regional landscaping business,” according to Sam Patel, Sales Director CMPi UAE, organizers of Gulf Landscaping.

Mr. Patel noted that the exhibition has already acquired a reputation as a sourcing platform and networking event for the regions landscape architects, developers, contractors and other key buyers, to enable them to select products, services and solutions for the huge number of major developments in the commercial, retail, leisure and residential sectors, as well as city parks and highways.

The event will be co-located with Working Buildings Middle East and Fit-Out Middle East to enable those involved in the development and delivery of this major growth industry to meet their landscaping and outdoor architecture needs in one visit.

Ben D’Souza, Chief Operating Officer, Industry Networks, said: “This is the second year that the Building and Construction (BNC) Network is partnering with CMPi exhibitions. Based on our successful partnership last year, the BNC Network has extended its presence to include not only Working Buildings but also Gulf Landscaping and Fit-Out Middle East. As the largest, most comprehensive source of construction intelligence in the Middle East, the BNC Network is pleased to further develop and strengthen its association with a premier exhibition organizer such as CMPi.”

Speaking on behalf of Moisture Shield an environmentally friendly product, Boryana Korcheva noted: “Our product is an alternative to hardwood which comes from the rainforests of Asia, Africa and South America. Not a single tree is felled for the production of this product - on the contrary - it is made entirely of recycled materials and is a benchmark for developing the local green building standards.”

“Gebal are proud to present our range of quality urban streetscape furniture from Benito, Spain. Carrying a full range of stylish benches, litter bins, bollards and tree grates, Benito products offer a superb combination of both style and price competitiveness,” said Alex Charawani, Managing Partner, Gebal Co LLC.

Also on show will be samples of other products from Gebal’s quality landscape range of products including Play Equipment and Safety Flooring.

Gulf Landscaping is an exhibition for the booming Middle East outdoor design and landscaping architecture industries. The event is designed to generate business leads for companies in the landscaping business.

Water smart landscaping technology and methods of offsetting carbon footprint will make their Middle East debut at the two-day event. Exhibitors at the event will showcase water-smart landscaping through sensible best practices and display methods to improve the health of the immediate environment and reduce carbon footprint.

The Abu Dhabi event will provide landscaping ideas as well as products for erosion control, irrigation, landscape maintenance, water features, fertilizers, tips and facts on the latest landscaping trends for some fresh ideas, but also for landscaping professionals who are looking for some inspiration and outdoor design ideas.

The GCC is beginning to value the outdoors and an increasing number of landscaping companies are now attracted to the region. Driven by the construction boom, landscaping services have come into focus while landscaping contractors are learning how to grab their share of this high growth market.

“Gulf Landscaping exhibition will showcase outstanding examples of landscape design, installation, and irrigation," noted Mr. Patel. "The event will promote professional excellence and encourage greater awareness of the aesthetic and environmental benefits of landscaping as the region's makes a definitive push to go green,” he said.
