Satellier Expands Global
Footprint
New Dubai Office to Serve Active Middle
East Real Estate Development, Design and
Construction Industry
Chicago,
USA, October 27th, 2008 – (Business

-
Satellier Inc., the global leader in
workshare solutions and pioneer in
Building Information Modeling services
(BIM) for the architecture, engineering,
construction and building owner (AECO)
industry, announced that it has opened a
Dubai, UAE, office to directly serve the
Middle East building and construction
market.
The Dubai
office expands Satellier’s global
footprint to eight corporate offices:
Delhi, London, Shanghai, Hong Kong, San
Francisco, New York, Chicago, and now
Dubai.
Justus
Sathurni joins Satellier as the Business
Development Director for the Middle
East. Mr. Sathurni joins from Océ Joint
Venture, a $3 billion manufacturer of
laser plotters and printers, where he
served as Middle East Sales Director.
Prior to his tenure with Océ, Mr.
Sathurni was the Middle East Territory
Director for Autodesk products. Mr.
Sathurni is a graduate of the Bradford
University (UK) Business School, and
holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering
from Madras University, in India. Mr.
Sathurni reports to Mikele Brack,
Satellier’s Global Sales Director.
“One of the
bright spots for the global AECO
industry right now is the Middle East,
especially in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait,
and Qatar,” says CEO Michael Jansen.
“And while many things are fluctuating
on the global economic landscape, some
things don’t change, such as the real
need that design firms have to remain
competitive and nimble in their
resourcing strategies.”
“The
high-pressured pace of development in
the Middle East challenges design firms
to staff up quickly and cost effectively
for new opportunities, and to maintain
their focus on their core
competency―design,” said Jansen. “Having
remotely supported more than 30 major
projects in the Middle East over the
last four years, we are excited to be on
the ground here, and to provide global
best-practices in workshare to support
our design partners with viable options
for reducing costs, increasing profits,
and optimizing their design talent.”
Mr. Sathurni
observes that, “Satellier’s depth of
resources, global experience, and
technical expertise on large-scale
projects of all types―retail complexes,
mega hospitality projects, healthcare
centers, multi-use structures and
educational campuses―is precisely what
international design practices need now.
Our emphasis on technology solutions,
especially BIM, can help design firms
deliver better results for their
clients. I am thrilled to be a part of
the Satellier team and to help design
firms succeed in the Middle East.”
Ms. Brack,
who opened the company’s European office
and now divides her time between London
and the Middle East, adds that, “We’ve
already seen great interest and need
from UK design firms wanting to enter
the Middle East market, without the
typical risks and costs associated with
expansion. We look forward to working
with international practices to further
their success in the Middle East and
around the world.”
