During 2006 we secured significant new contracts in the telecommunications, oil and gas, constructions, transportation and the financial sectors.
It is fantastic to see so
many forward thinking organisation
understanding the value proposition ESI
offers and the trust placed on us to help
them develop their project delivery
capability. We are currently working very
closely with a number of key accounts
helping them to deliver project management
development programmes specifically tailored
to meet the unique challenges faced in this
region and providing one of the keys to the
major issue of staff recruitment and
retention experienced in all industries
across the GCC”.
Alan Garvey, Managing Director of ESI, EMEA
said: “This is an important milestone for
ESI International and clear evidence of our
commitment to developing a higher profile in
the Middle East and North Africa. The region
is an area of strategic focus and rapid
growth for ESI. The potential comes from the
number of mega-projects being announced
almost on a weekly basis in the region and
the rapid expansion across all industry
sectors. In the oil and gas sector the rise
in oil prices last year and the continued
high global demand means there is greater
pressure than ever before to deliver
upstream and downstream products as
efficiently as possible, this is managed
through competent project management.
In
addition to this, the Project Management
Institute in the region has aggressive
expansion plans over the next two years
aiming to more than double the number of PMI
members and the number of certified Project
Management Professionals in the region.
Establishing this office will enable us to
broaden our footprint and enhance our
reputation build on our long track record by
considerably enhancing services we can offer
clients in the area.”

region for several years, providing project
management training and consulting services
to a number of clients in the area,
