to invest over AED 2.5 billion in latest
infrastructure Emirates District Cooling Company LLC (Emicool), a joint venture between M’Sharie, a subsidiary of Dubai Investments, and Union Properties PJSC, is in the process of developing and expanding its infrastructure to meet the increased demand for district cooling services in Dubai following the continued construction boom in the emirate. Emicool, a district cooling service provider involved in the supply of chilled water for residential, commercial and industrial applications, is currently focused on serving two major projects which include the Dubai Investments Park (Green Community Phase 1 &2, Ewan Residences, Dubai Lagoon, Dubai Crown City, the Ritaj residential project, Sh. Essa Development which includes the newly launched Palisades project which is the Middle East’s largest privately funded mixed-use real estate development, and several other residential, commercial and industrial projects involving 250,000 tons of refrigeration. The second project is the Dubai Motor City which also includes residential and commercial projects totaling about 100,000 tons of refrigeration. To efficiently cater to these two major projects, Emicool is in the process of setting up the required infrastructure including eight different plant rooms ranging from 15,000 RT to 75,000 RT, in addition to a complete underground pipe distribution network, energy transfer stations and completely wireless BTU metering systems worth over AED 2.5 billion which will be invested over a period of three to five years. |
