Soomro terms investment climate conducive, visits Al Ghurair Giga project

ISLAMABAD, Feb 2 (APP): Chairman Senate Muhammadmian Soomro has said that climate of investment is conducive in the country because of far-reaching reforms introduced by the government in every sector of the economy. Investors could take advantage of the favourable environment and invest in areas offering lucrative returns, he made these remarks after visiting a project of Al-Ghurair Giga here.

He said housing is one of the basic human requirements and the government is committed to give priority to this sector, as it will contribute to the economy in the form of additional employment besides supporting allied industries, says a press release issued here on Friday.

Vice Chairman of Al Ghurair Giga, Haji Rafiq Giga on the occasion said that these projects can be seen as catalysts for the local economy and our projects will ensure global standards.

"We will be achieving this goal with the help of strategic partnership with local and international suppliers," he added.

Al Ghurair Giga Pakistan is investing Rs. 95 billion on the current residential and commercial projects at DHA.

It is working with two renowned Malaysian companies IJM and Bina Goodyear as construction partners. Goldcrest, the residential complex will be completed by December 2008.
