PSC commences construction of 12 buildings forming the
Pedestrian Boulevard |

 Under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Maarouf Al Bakhit and
the presence of Sheikh Baha’a Rafik Hariri, Chairman of Abdali
Investment
and Development PSC (Abdali PSC), the groundbreaking ceremony
for the commencement of the construction of the Abdali Boulevard
took place at the Abdali site on July 5, 2006. Also present were
Eng. Akram Abu Hamdan, Vice Chairman of Abdali PSC, and Mr.
Jamal Itani, CEO of Abdali PSC as well as other prominent
personalities from Jordan and the press.
In his welcome
speech, Sheikh Baha’a Hariri expressed the Hariri family’s
gratitude towards the Jordan government headed by HRH King
Abdullah II for sharing in the same vision of a brighter future
for the country. He stated: “Based on our continuous conviction
in the potential of this country, the Abdali project will come
to recreate Jordan’s capital as a landmark of financial,
economic, social, and cultural progression”, adding, “We stand
here today to set the first stone of what is to become the
beating heart of the project: The Abdali Boulevard.”
The Boulevard is the
main public walkway that runs east/west between the Towers
Sector and the Central Marketplace. Stretching 370 meters with
21 meters width, the Boulevard is the breathing jewel of Abdali
and marks the center of the development project. It will offer
visitors and residents more than 240 retail outlets ranging
between 50sqm to 2000sqm in gross leasable area. The Boulevard
will also offer more than 200 luxurious apartments ranging from
100sqm to 710sqm; in addition, to 27,000sqm of office space. On
the rooftops, restaurants and fitness clubs with external pools
and large terraces will overlook the surrounding scenes.
The Boulevard will
also offer a vibrant array of choices from prestigious terrace
cafes and restaurants to shop displays, public seating, and two
stunning piazzas.
Mr. Itani, CEO of
Abdali PSC stated: “Now that we have completed the underground
works of infrastructure for the whole project, we are here to
witness the groundbreaking ceremony for the commencement of the
construction of the main pillar of the project, The Boulevard, a
place which will become a favorite
destination
for the community as well as a popular tourist attraction.” In
conclusion, Mr. Itani said: “We, at Abdali PSC, chose to be the
first developers in this great endeavor because we intend to set
the highest standards of urban development for other investors
in the Abdali project who are getting ready to start
construction before the end of the year.”
With the
state-of-the-art infrastructure and underground works completed,
the Abdali project is now ready to rise up from the ground. The
Abdali project will definitely catapult Amman into a thriving
and packed city, skyrocketing both commercially and financially.
The combined

and recreational facilities, promises an inspired outcome upon
