Glenn
Jampol is a renowned expert on sustainable tourism and
its practical applications. He frequently lectures at
INCAE, Harvard based post graduate business university
in Costa Rica. He is currently the president of The
National Chamber of Ecotourism (CANAECO) in Costa Rica
and is owner and operator of two famous hotels, Finca
Rosa Blanca Country Inn and Arenas Del Mar Beach Resort.
Finca Rosa Blanca holds the highest rating in Costa Rica
in the Certification for Sustainable Tourism program
(CST) and is one of only three hotels in that category.
Mr. Jampol is also a member of Costa Rica’s National
Commission for Accreditation for the CST and is also on
the Board of Directors of The International Ecotourism
Society (TIES). Glenn Jampol has been a consultant to
many agencies including the Center for International
Human Rights (CIDH) and was named Special Ambassador to
the Environment for the United Nations Program for
Children and the Environment in 2003. He has also held
workshops in many countries including Costa Rica, Peru
and The Kingdom of Bhutan amongst others.
Enver Loke, MSc Natural Resources Management, Wageningen

Mr. Enver
Loke has been working for 8 years in the building
industry and is specialized in the field of green
building. The last 4 years he combined his knowledge
with the tourism & leisure industry, both in The
Netherlands and many other countries. He has a strong
belief that the tourism & leisure industry has to be
transformed in order to be sustainable in the long run.
In his position as managing director of - and partner in
- CONTOUR Projects he has been involved in European
project teams responsible for the sustainable
development of tourism on European scale and
implementing a European approach for environmental
certification in the tourism & hospitality industry.
Monitoring and evaluation of the environmental impacts
of the tourism industry, and how to cope with this, has
been central at stake in many other projects he managed.
Organization development, capacity building, training
and project development are the key features of his
activities.

Teresa
Osman is co-owner and founder of Finca Rosa Blanca
Country Inn in Costa Rica and Empresas SXJ, an organic
and sustainable coffee farm in Costa Rica. She is well
known in tourism in the Americas as the creator of the
modern Agro-Ecotourism model based on the integration of
the CST with the Rainforest Alliance agricultural
certification. She has managed Finca Rosa Blanca and
Empresas SXJ for 22 years with her husband and is an
expert in diagnosis and development of “Good Practices”
for fulfilling the requirements of the Certification for
Sustainable Tourism. She is also an expert in the
cultivation, production and maintenance of ecological
systems for organic tourism and pragmatic approaches to
environmentally friendly hotel food services.
